Le Chat

I came across this wonderful wallpaper today and it reminded me that I need more cats on my walls:

It is by illustrator/ screen printer Eliza Fricker of Baines and Fricker

Cat in a cup by Amy Blackwell, available from Etsy

Le Chat print by Mini and Maximus available here

I love this image I found on Design Sponge from Vynsie Law’s home, the wallpaper is Graham and Brown and the cat print is by Enjoi.

Feral Luna

Luna has lost her collar, again. This is bad for two reasons: One, it cost me £8 for her identity badge and two because she looks all feral and stray. My hunt for a new stylish collar for her has so far been fruitless. This one I found on Etsy however is a winner (if I could afford it) It is handmade and custom hand stamped, it also has a band of elastic so your cat can escape tricky situations easily! My cat; The Russian Princess

This is my cat Luna.

She enjoys the standard cat things – growling at pigeons, lounging on radiators, scratching our feet when dawn breaks, Go-cat, prowling the streets, NAPPING etc..

Cat’s are weird, it’s true. If Luna was human she would probably be a Russian Princess; She can be nonchalant and selective with when and who she gives love (it is in abundance when I am holding the Go-Cat or if I have just got out of the bath and am wrapped in a warm towel) However we have a special understanding, one that I have with no-one else when i need her she’s there to be little spoon, you can’t beat a furry purring warm cat snuggle. I LOVE her.

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat:
They took some honey,
and plenty of money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note

The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
“O lovely Pussy, O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!”

Pussy said to the Owl, “You elegant fowl,
How charmingly sweet you sing!
Oh! let us be married;
too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?”
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the bong-tree grows;
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood,
With a ring at the end of his nose,
His nose,
His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose

“Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?” Said the Piggy, “I will.”
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;

And hand in hand on the edge of the sandThey danced by the light of the moon,The moon,The moon,They danced by the light of the moon.

Cat-proof knitting

One of the problems with knitting is that my cat Luna thinks it is a fun game I invented just for her, luckily I received a Christmas present from my crafty mum to reduce the cat interference when knitting, it’s a lovely basket to hold my balls of wool while knitting with a homemade lining;
