Will and Kate

As the Royal Wedding hype heightens I look forward to an extra day off and an excuse to dress up, I am also reminded of my favorite Royal bride:

Me and the Mr. are called Will and Kate, so I am able to jump on the Royal wedding merchandise bandwagon with glee!

Here are some of my favorites;

Tea towel  by Gemma Correll available from To Dry For

Gloves from Donna Wilson

There are only ten pairs of these New Balance trainers, you can be in with a chance of winning them if you are called Will and Kate (see here), needless to say I have entered the competition!

Chocolate Amaretti

Knitting/ pudding club was at mine this week, I decided on a chocolate amaretti cake. I love amaretti biscuits, especially when they are beautifully wrapped.

Sweet dreams

I’m dreaming of a bedroom that is a peaceful haven; clean whites and greys with touches of mint green, pale turquoise and yellow, crisp sheets, soft pillows and a summer’s breeze:

Green fingers

I have recently started gardening and I Love It. Being outside all day digging around in mud is good for the soul, it reminds me of childhood. It is also very rewarding to plant a teeny seed and watch it grow, especially if you can then eat it. This weekend we built our vegetable patch and sowed our seeds, here is the progress so far;

Luna is loving it too;

Seven things;

(About me)

Today I was catching up on my favorite blogs, one of them is by Karen Barbe a Textile designer from Santiago, I love its simplicity and cleanliness and her textiles are beautiful.

Anyway I saw this post and I am taking her up on her invitation to post ‘7 things about me’ :

1) My favorite flowers are Sweet Pea’s, they’ve been in my life every summer for ever (also my favorite smell)

2) I prefer mountains and forests to the sea and beaches (look here if you need persuading)

3) I have an irrational fear of daddy long legs and waking up sleeping people, due to two unrelated childhood traumas

4) I married my childhood sweetheart

5) I love typewriters, teapots, owls and cats among other things

6) I dream of living in a cottage in the country in the middle of nowhere, wearing wellies and a headscarf and being self-sufficient

7) I have no tonsils

Tell me seven things about you…

Garden dreams

Since childhood I have dreamt of having my very own weeping willow tree to sit under, and now I have one in my very own garden. Wonderful, now my garden dreams can come true:
